Stromsoe Cares COVID-19 Update March 26, 2020

Committed to Protecting You and Open to Serve You: Stromsoe Cares COVID-19 Update March 26, 2020

The U.S. Senate passed a $2 trillion Coronavirus stimulus bill designed to provide economic relief to all Americans. The bill is now with the U.S. House of Representatives, and then will go to President Trump for his signature. Officials believe the bill is expected to pass the House and be approved by the White House on Friday.

Included in the bill is the “Keeping American Workers Paid and Employed Act,” which provides $350 billion in loans for small businesses to cover salary, wages, and benefits worth 250% of an employer’s monthly payroll, with a maximum loan of $10 million. Loans will be forgiven for qualifying groups, those who use the loan to keep employees on payroll, pay rent and insurance premiums, and other guidelines in the law. Please tell clients to consult a tax professional for answers to questions.

For a copy of the details before the House, click here.

Businesses with fewer than 500 employees will work with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to get more information and apply for a loan.

Please note: the bill is not yet passed.

End Valentine’s Day With a New Ring? Then You Need To Read This

Insuring your engagement ring can help to keep is protected.

Your engagement ring is much more than just a ring. It signifies the love between you and that special someone. While insurance may not be very romantic, it is the best way to give you the peace of mind that you deserve as you start the new chapter of your life.

You have a couple choices when it comes to insuring your engagement ring. The first option is to schedule your ring within your renter’s or homeowners insurance policy. When you schedule your ring, you will get additional coverage that goes beyond the personal property portion of your policy. You will have to prove the value of your ring with either a receipt or an appraisal to ensure it is protected for the right amount.

The second option is to invest in a specific jewelry insurance policy. Jewelry insurance is only available through certain insurance companies, so talk with your insurance agent to find out if your current insurance company offers the coverage. Just like when you schedule your ring, you will need to provide proof of the value through a receipt or appraisal.

The cost of your engagement ring will depend on many factors, including the value of your ring and how much coverage you want. In most cases, engagement ring insurance will cost $1 or $2 for every $100 in replacement coverage that you want. That means if your engagement ring is worth $9,000, you would be paying between $90 and $180 for your coverage.

Working with an independent insurance agent can help you get the right amount of coverage for your symbol of love. For all of your insurance coverage needs, contact the experts at Stromsoe Insurance Agency. We will work closely with you to make sure you have the protection that you deserve, all at the right price to fit your budget.

The Best Agent For The Job

Three Ways An Independent Insurance Agent Can Serve You

Let’s face it- some agents are just better than others. A secret agent is better than an IRS agent (no offense). A cleaning agent is better than an infectious agent. In the same way, an independent insurance agent is better than a captive insurance agent. Here are a few reasons to consider working with an independent agent to get your coverage.

  • Advocacy: You are not an insurance expert, so you should not have to go toe-to-toe with major insurance providers when you have an issue with your claim. Fortunately, with an independent agent you will not have to. Your agent can advocate for you, ensuring you never overpay for your coverage. Furthermore, he or she can help you file your claim in the first place to avoid snafus down the road.
  • Options: Unlike a captive agency that can only offer you plans from one insurance provider, an independent agent can show you policies from every provider with whom he or she works. This makes it easier for you to find the right policy to meet your specific needs, ensuring you do not overpay for coverage you will not use or get left facing a gap in coverage.
  • Savings: Similarly, because your agent can show you plans from multiple providers, you can compare prices for comparable coverage. This means that you can shop quotes without having to do the hard work of collecting those quotes, which will mean more money in your wallet for less effort.

You deserve to have an independent insurance agent secure you the fullest coverage at the most competitive price. Contact Stromsoe Insurance Agency for all of your California insurance needs. We are here to ensure you have a friend in the insurance industry.
